Photos, location and project fields
Camera images, imported images, GPS readings, project names, operator labels, location labels and notes are processed in the browser. They are stored in this browser’s IndexedDB database so you can reopen the local gallery. They are not sent to our server. Exports leave the browser only when you choose to download, share or print them.
When location permission produces a usable GPS fix and you have not entered a location manually, the app makes one automatic address lookup for that camera session. The browser sends latitude, longitude and interface language to the Stamp Camera server by POST; the coordinates are not placed in the request URL. The server rounds the coordinates, applies a shared rate limit, caches the response, and requests an address from the public Nominatim service operated by the OpenStreetMap Foundation. Our server and OpenStreetMap receive ordinary connection information, including IP address. No photo, project name, operator or note is included. Typing a location label disables automatic lookup; Refresh address explicitly retries it.
Minimal usage measurement
The site sends a content-free first-party event when actions such as capture, import or export occur. The request contains the event name, interface locale and app version. It does not contain photos, coordinates, project text, notes or a persistent user identifier. Standard web server logs may contain IP address, request time, browser information and the requested URL for security and reliability; logs are retained according to server policy.
Device controls and recovery
You can deny or revoke camera and location permission in browser settings. “Clear project” deletes locally stored photos for this app. Browser clearing or device loss can also remove local records, so export ZIP backups before relying on them. Contact details for privacy requests will be added before any server-side account or cloud storage feature launches.
